International Student Life
South Korea. China. India. Turkey. Canada. Japan. Hong Kong. These are a few of the 125 countries Indiana University’s international students call home. Our 4,300 international students are important members of our diverse community, which includes several international food markets, events like the annual Lotus World Music and Arts Festival, and nearly 40 ethnic restaurants representing cuisines from around the world.
Campus and Community Resources for International Students Include:
- The Office of International Services, which offers immigration and financial advising, orientation to U.S. culture and higher education, cultural programs, and more
- The Leo R. Dowling International Center, a hub of activity for international students
- The Asian and Latino cultural centers, which provide programs for international and U.S. students
- A number of international student organizations
- Bloomington Worldwide Friendship, an organization that matches international students with members of the Bloomington community
