Priority Dates

We recommend submitting your application materials so that we receive them by the following priority dates. We will review applications received after the priority date on a space-available basis, but applying by the priority date ensures that you will receive maximum consideration for admission and financial aid from IU. You should also review the IU Office of Scholarships timeline.

Entry Term Priority Date
Fall November 1 is the priority date for admission and maximum scholarship consideration. Students whose applications for admission are completed after November 1 may be considered for merit scholarships based on available funds at that time.

Based on available funds, students may submit updated SAT or ACT scores by January 15 for reconsideration of Automatic Academic Scholarships.
Spring September 15*
Summer I or II January 1

*Applications for the spring 2010 term submitted after September 15 will not be considered. If you would like to apply to IU, please apply for the fall 2010 term.

We’ll let you know if you’ve been accepted four to eight weeks after we receive all of your application documents. You can also check your admission status online.
